It's a very ambitious undertaking, but you are going to find a lot of people who are out of it by August not participating because of how long it's going to take for them to actually do something worthwhile

Maybe i didn't make myself clear, the primary puurpose of the league is to be able to experience the WHOLE gaem, sure we all want to win the World Series, but just being able to make our own choices in trades, team management and writing our own news items hopefully makes this a good experience.

Signed up as GM for the Jays. I like this idea. I think that the ideas are endless. If all the GM's participate it could be akin to following your real time. I plan on writing a dynasty about this and making it like reading about the Jays in real life.

Just curious, why are you trying to get 10 days ahead of real time? Wouldn't it be cooler if, say, when I go to a Sox game I have tickets to against the O's, those two teams are also playing that day in your league? You probably have a good reason, but I can't think of it. Sounds very interesting, I'll have to take a second to figure out if I have that kind of time commitment.

I just want to be slightly ahead of real life, no special reason, but really don't want to sim on same day.
Far as time commitment, I plan on allowing a once a week export, using 7 day lineups, will then sim daily and email scores and news to gms. If a player gets hurt, for example, gm can make a roster change, long as its in before a 9pm sim time.

Yeah, obviously your call, I just thought it would be fun if things lined up. Getting a lot of demand?

I'd be interested in taking control of the Cincinnati Reds if they have not been snatched up yet. Could you e-mail me some more info?

This is so crazy I have to try it. And since the Mets are available why not?
I'm in legendsports Batty league that's running a season per week, so this it the opposite end of the spectrum. Best way to get myself immersed in 2007. Never could get into 2006, but the talk's been so positive about this one. |

I've played in a day-by-day league before. If you have the patience for it, it can be a lot of fun. It can be very immersive as it allows you time to watch every detail of your organization.

I haven't tried this before, but I can almost see it as playing in multiple leagues. Send a 7 day file to be safe, then maybe concentrate on a different minor league team each day along with taking a look at the majors.

![]() When I was playing the day-by-day, I spent time reading the game logs (which I rarely do in a normal online environment) and keeping up on my minors. It was less satisfying because this was v6, and I couldn't see every game the minor leaguers played--just had to figure things out from stat progression. v2007's full universe sims take care of that issue. You could deal with injuries on time, and spot-start players more naturally than in other online leagues. It's the ultimate way to simulate running a team. |
