Baseball Cards...

Would it be too hard to have a spot on the player's profile that would say, Value of Baseball Card. Maybe it could be based on some random formula by skill...popularity...and year...

Just an idea....

Price of Rookie Card - $5.00

I don't know....it might be too cheesy...

Do we even know for sure that the cards themselves have made it in yet? I admit to not reading every thread, so I'm not sure.

The functionality is in the game; it just is not functioning very well other than a HTML page with a graphic. There is not enough Andreas time in the day.

Actually, it's a kind of cool immersion factor, makes the player more real and works into the whole player popularity thing. Maybe not the first priority but I think it's cool.

What I'd love is that you could print baseball cards (perhaps with a technique similar to facegen) where you define the stats that go on back and maybe it snares something from the history for write up.

OHHH Baseball Cards. Very cool add on. I smell a spinoff. SI could use a service similar to Flickr where you import your 25 man roster and can buy team sets mailed to your house on actual card stock. I'd actually buy that.

The simple text addition of card value would be neat too!

I am curious to see how this feature turns out. I have been doing baseball cards for my major award winners for a few years.

I do remember from the dark ages, that this was a function already in Inside the Park. Your rookie card went up in price depending on how well you did.

It doesn't look like the full functionality of cards will be ready for release. Maybe they'll be patched in ...

Fargo looks like a cross between Ken Griffey Jr and Harold Reynolds.... so that must mean if trips and falls into women.

Yeah, bummer, but you won't even notice if/when you get your hands on this baby! There is plenty of WOW factor in this release without baseball cards.

If I threaten to hold my breath until it's guaranteed that it'll be fully functional, will that work?

I think it will.

I bet if you didn't post until after release, they'd be willing to hook us up.
