Setting up a league(s) in 2006 (as in a template for example) to be moved over to 2007. Good idea?
First off I should ask if this is even possible, so thats what I'll do.
(Q = Question) Q 1: Is it possible to set-up a league with financials, league structure, and everything else that goes along with setting up a league, save it as a template and then import that template into OOTPBB2007? Q 2: If this is possible, what would the disadvantages be by doing creating a template in 2006 and then moving it over to 2007 because I am going to assume that setting up a league in OOTP2007 will be similar to OOTPBB2006 but I am also going to assume there will be additions to the league set-up stage in OOTPBB2007? Basically, the only reason why I ask is because it took me a long time (about 1.5 - 2.5 hrs) to set-up and create my current MLB league (w/ four levels of minors). This included doing all of the park-factors, renaming and placing in the ballpark images to their correct teams and locations, adding in the coordinates for the ball parks, adding in all of the teams color coding for team specific pages, adding in team logos, and a WHOLE LOT MORE. So, to sum it up if it is feasible to create a league template in 2006 and then import it into 2007 then I will do it BUT if it be in my best interest to just restart the league then I will do that - no questions asked. Because I do NOT want to miss out on any new league creation features that there may be. Then again that raises this question; Q 3: If we were to import a template over from 2006 into 2007 will we be given the chance to use the new league structure features/additions that 2007 will provide (again, assuming that there are additions in this area)? For example, if I import a template from 2006 into 2007 but wanted to use a new feature in the league creation/set-up stage - will I be able to do so? I want to mention that I am not far into my league at all. In fact I am only at the spring season stage of the very first season in my league. (A side note as to why I am not that far into my league even though 2006 was released a year ago or so: I was sick over the summer time - yes, the whole summer pretty much up until Sept/Oct. And before that I wanted to wait for the final patch to start a serious league/career. When I got better I was then tied up with a lot of other things that couldn't allow me to play the game as much - which is the reason why I am only at the srping training stage in my very first season of the leagues inception. )So, for me personally - giving up the leagues history isn't a big deal because I have none. It is just the amount of work that is initially put into the start of the game that I am only questioning. But again, if starting over is best then I will do that - even though it may take some time. |

Man, that is a bummer. I've got to go back and 'transcribe' all my relative salary figures based on real world dollar-to-xcurrency values.
