Stat Engine Settings ?
I am currently attempting to use the Hybrid/Historical/Expansion 1987 Rosterset that was created by Cowboys3366 and/or (IIRC) Maleus Dei. My problem is this. I imported all 55 Japanese Greats and filled out the rosters with created players. The settings were faulty. Players were highly skewed between vs. LHP and RHP and 250 contact and 1 eye...etc. After test simming several seasons... I ended with .500-.750 BA for the BA Champion in both leagues and up to 95 HR's. I deleted all of the faulty Created players and loaded Stat engine settings from a proven 30 team online league. The created players now seem to be realistic, however a couple of the Japanese studs needed to have their ratings edited down to the mid-80's in variuos categories.
After several lengthy editing sessions... there is no player with talent or overall ratings above 90... Yet the league still finishes with about 10-15 guys batting above .350 and about 4 above .400. Also one to two guys will hit over 75 HR's. I have come to the conclusion that the stat engine settings for a 30 team league should be different than the stat engine settings for a 36 team league. I have tinkered with the stat engine settings but can't find settings that keep the league average at a realistic level and don't allow these 10-15 hitters to hit over .350. The pitching seems fine other than one Japanese import who has been edited. Please offer any settings that are proven for a 36 team league. Or any other suggestions. Thanks. Did I put this in the wrong forum? 28 views and no replies. Does anyone know how to tinker with the stat engine? Should I make the numbers lower right?
