OOTP looks like it is back on track

Most of the "missing" features are coming back, and there are a couple of shocking (well, to me) new ones, particularly the FaceGen thing. I'm glad I've kept the faith in this game. The feature list includes almost everything I was hoping for. Eventually we will look back on OOTP6.5 the way we now look at OOTP2.

I admit that I was one of the many who were a bit disappointed with 2006. I had fun with it and definitely didn't waste money getting it, and I certainly understood the reasons for it not being everything I ever wanted, but I kept getting nagged by the things I didn't like about it.

I'm quite glad to see that everything is getting back on track.

I got my money's worth with 2006 and with this list of enhancements will probably even preorder 2007. I never thought I would say that...but there it is.

I have to agree. OOTP 2007 looks like it is on the way to being the absolute standard for Baseball Sims!

I'll remain guardedly optimistic and reserve opinion until I've had the opportunity to actually try the game out. My faith in Markus to put out a quality product is unwavering, but I'm old school. The proof is in the pudding, show me isn't good enough.

The demo is going to sell you this game. It will sell a bunch of people the game. I can preach how remarkable things have improved, but, it would be like the prophet Jerimiah.

Get the demo, and set aside a weekend.

Not that I don't trust your word, but the only one who's going to sell me this game is my opinion after playing it.

Man that thing is so cool. The faces age, reflect the player's BMI and morale. Plus there is a lot of variance in the faces...they're not all samey-samey as some generated faces can be. I still can't get over how awesome it is.

That's completely fair, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I have to agree. While I did buy 2006 and I couldn't get comfortable with the game. I found myself after a few months going back to 6.5. I am sure that 2007 will keep me interested more. Otherwise that will be $70 that I donated to the company. Gladly of course.

Very cool. I'm not going to put myself in there, though. I'd rather not see the results.

How does the face change with the player's morale?

If he's happy he smiles and if he's angry he grimaces.

That might be the cheesiest thing I've ever heard of that I still want to see.

That would work well for Capybaras, though. Out pacing the competition yet again.

There's a "neutral" face as well.

I was also disappointed with 2006 and yes I bought the game, but haven't really played it that much yet.........lol.............So I look forward to 2007 and the many wonderful features it has to offer. Though I am also guarded by this as well, since 2006 was hyped up so much and in the end I think it was a big letdown for many. Hopefully this is not the case this year

This version looks promising. No offense to anyone at SI but this feature set (minus the FaceGen) was what I was expecting on release date last year. I had my hopes way too high for the transition between 6.5 and 2006.

Now I promised myself I wouldn't preorder, and that promise will get harder and harder as the days to release countdown. My absolute BIGGEST concern is the condition the game will be in upon release. I'm certainly not expecting perfection but if it's in the same shape as it was last year on release I'll be done with the franchise.

I've been a longtime OOTP fan and customer and I genuinely don't want this one to fail. Here's to hoping for the best!
