AllTime Team

I read about someone trying to go 162-0 over the course of a season. I thought I would try that but instead I'm going to use the greatest players of all-time, any suggestions on who I should use?

If you are trying to win them all, you need to have more players like Mays, Joe D, Bench/Pudge, Bonds... guys that could do it all. Teddy Ballgame (GRHS) was not a good fielder at all... and Ruth was not much to shout about either. Good D will make those dead-ball pitchers everyone is talking about a lot better.

I guess I'll have to try a few times before I geta perfect mix of pitching, hitting and defense.

First Go Around

I just tried to play with the Cooperstown Legends, started 20-0 before losing to the Yankees 5-3 with the win going to Roger Clemens and the loss going to Christy Mathewson.

Season's Done, 156-6 is the final. Its always fun to see the Yankees (who beat me twice) 59 games behind. Also, I would like to post player stats on this board, what is the easiest way to do this?

I bet you didn't have Rickey Henderson batting lead-off did you? You'd have won them all if only Rickey was batting lead-off...

For Pitchers, you should have Pedro from 2000 in there, when he had a 1.74 ERA and the next best guy in the AL had a 3.70 ERA.

Agreed, that was arguably the best single season pitching performance of all time. In fact, I would argue that and would have a very compelling case at that.

I actually tried to get Henderson on my team but when I miported him he had very bad ratings, close to straight 2's, and a C for speed and stealing. Did this happen to anyone else?

I'll argue for Maddux 1994 -- so dominant in a hitters year.

Too bad we'll never know what his final totals would have been.
