Financial History
Does anyone know if the team financial histories are stored as text files, and if so, where they might be? I've looked in my league folder, but haven't been able to find them.

speaking of, I just noticed that if you try to have two teams switch divisions, their financial histories don't change with them. I was fed up with winning 100+ games a year and always finishing 2nd to the Yankees (after speding like 12 years of losing building up the system and growing slowly and steadily), and at least wanted a shot at them in the playoffs, but when I tried to switch Toronto and KC their histories did not change with them... don't know what else might have changed with them as well, cause as soon as I saw this I switched them right back...

Financials and the Coaches are the only things to my knowledge that don't change.
Are you using the 4.1 Update? Last edited by Scott Vibert; 08-16-2002 at 04:36 PM. |

![]() not a big deal, just frustrating to build a 100+ win ballclub with a salary in the 50-60 mil range and still finish (as opposed to finnish) 2nd to the damn Yankees and their $130 mill payroll. just call me Billy Beane. maybe it's time to look at bringing in the wildcard to my league. this is in a league using Gambo's DB. I'm seein some pretty wacky financial situations crop up, but it's produced some cool results. My goal was to take the Blue Jays from 77 and build them slowly into a powerhouse so that once Cecil Fielder hit his prime, I'd have a championship caliber team. I won the Series once, knocking the Yanks out of the playoff picture after they took the WS 4 years in a row. So that was pretty gratifying. Still get the best results in fictional, but with both of my online leagues fictional, trying to go down some different routes for solo play. |

Looked in the news folder -- no luck. There was one file, named "report" that was a blank version of the financial report. There wasn't a report for each team -- any other ideas on where they may be located, or if they're even created as separate files? I had the same problems -- switched teams to different divisions within the same league & lost the financials for about four teams.

just switch the teams back to where they originally started and they should all regain their financials without losing any data...
i think.

There is no text file for financial history. So financial history will be lost if a team moves to a new division. I worked around this by printing out a copy of the team's financial history before moving them. That way I at least still have a record for the correct team and can reference that when I need to.
I believe Steve said in another post somewhere in relation to this situation that Markus would be working on correcting the lack of text file for financial histories in an upcoming patch... am I correct Steve? |
