simulating wrestling

is there any program for simulating wrestling matches? I know the sport is considered fake, but is any program that simulates the wrestlers actual ability? If so, what it's called? If not, is there any way of simulating wrestlings matches and how?

Seconded. If you want a game that will let you play as owner of a wrestling organization, create storylines, etc. then I'd try TEW. But if you are just looking for a game that will let you sim matches and such, than TNM is the way to go. I played that a ton back in the day.

Is there anything out there that runs sims of the old Catch wrestling days or grappling? I would like to have something with Frank Gotch, George Hackenschmidt, et cetera.

wrestling

Rampage was the best game ever for simulating matches, but it was very no frills. Chris: LH used to sell an all-time greats set of wrestling disks that had most of the prominent wrestlers of the 19th century. However, you couldn't set Rampage up to have matches that truly reflected old catch (or Greco-Roman for that matter) encounters. But if you want to be William Muldoon or Evan Lewis it's about the only option.

I checked out the Zeus game that Javier mentioned and poked around to see if anyone had jimmied up a set of files for the catch wrestling era but no dice.

Has anyone ever heard of something along these lines? Even in table top format?

This board game has cards for the 19th century guys. I've never played it, though, so it may be like Rampage (i.e. current style matches but with old wrestlers).

Thanks Beekman, but I feel dumb. I am unable to locate the 19th century grapplers on that site.

Edit: Ok, I see Gotch and Lewis (probably others) mixed into the card lists. Was there a 19th century/ early 20th set?

Again, I haven't actually played that one, so I'm not really sure, but I don't think there was a separate disk for the catch stylists.
