Hey, I was wondering if you were still around!
I went to the home opener and saw a great game. Morris looks really good and Tino is a nice addition. How have you been? Todd |

Hey Todd!
Doing well! Getting ready to watch my Golden Gophers play in the Frozen 4 tomorrow! So, even though I've been keeping an eye on the Baseball, my mind is mainly on hockey for another few days. What's your e-mail addy, I'll e-mail you soon. |

I must admit I'm a BIG YANKEE FAN, but i have this new found respect for the Cardinals. I dont know wat it is (maybe its seeing Tino take his first at bat and the crowd cheering him on even though he's done nada for them yet) I mean the fans are amazing there. Yankee fans are great and funny in the Stadium but something about Busch Stadium, the look, the design, the field, the fans, amazing...it really is. I love the uniforms, i dont know why, but i do. Honestly if i could choose a team to play for i would say St.Louis. I dont think i would ever want to play for my favorite team b/c I wouldnt want to be close to home. i feel the special part of sports is being at different locals. wateva, i'm just talkin too much now...
edit: i might have to change my member name...any suggestions? [ 04-05-2002: Message edited by: YankeePride ]
|

This is for fellow Cardinal fans out there. Does anyone feel at all comfortable with Benes being in the rotations. I was at the game yesterday and he didn't look as bad as last year, but he threw his normal 85 mph fastball? down the middle for a couple of homers. I think Benes is a class guy person but I think his career is over. I hope he proves me wrong because I would like to see him succeed.
By the way why do we now have Defilice? Aren't we paying Matheny millions to bat 225? We wouldn't want Marrero who can actually hit to play now would we? |

Cardinals draw no matter what and are the NL team with the most WS Championships(all in 1 city too!) One more thing, what is the deal with naming your stadium "Turner Field"?! That stadium should have been named after your namesake Hammer. [ 04-05-2002: Message edited by: Cards4ever ]
|
