What to do with Extra FA's after flip

The problem exists because when advancing from one season to the next a change was made in the date of the draft from the beginning of the season to 6/15. Because of how it was done apparently the players that would have been in the preseason draft have been put into the free agent pool. This obviously creates a big problem for the league.

The question is, how is this best solved. Should the additional players be deleted, or should the previous season be reloaded and the advance to the next season be done over?

Also, are there negatives to deleting such a large amount of players?
