Question Player Development

Does keeping a minor leaguer at a higher level than what he is recommended to be at impede or slow his development?

Example: In my Tigers franchise, there are many players in the minors with the red >> next to their name. I don't want to move them down because that's where they are in real life. Will this cause all of my prospects to suck?

There is a very good possibility that it will hinder you prospects, at the very least it will slow their development, if they are definitely not ready for a level.
