e-mail notification
As long as I'm on a roll, let's try for a hat trick.
I have 'instant e-mail notification' set as my default on this board, but about a quarter of the time I'm not being notified of posts in threads I've subscribed to. I know there are problems with notifications when you come and go rapidly from the board, but I'm talking about a more normal situation. I'm frequently gone for two or three days, and when I get back, there might be ten or so notifications piled up, but there'll always be three or four missing. Of course I don't KNOW they're missing until I visit the board and browse through. Sometimes there've been several replies on a thread I've posted to, and none of them triggered a notification. Am I just going to have to live with this, or can something be done? I'm on other vBulletin boards, and I haven't had this problem anywhere else. |

This is definitely an Andreas question since he maintains the board. I will ask him to take a look at your question and see if he can help.

I've changed some of the vBulletin Email settings. Let's see if it helps.
Is anybody else having this problem? |

Ann hour and twenty-two minutes after you posted (for which I received no notification), Markus posted in a thread I started this morning. No notification, again. I was offline the whole time, sleeping, so it wasn't anything I was doing. During this time I did receive four other notifications. Thanks for trying.

What I could do now is to check the server log files for the outgoing emails to your email addy. I'll add this problem to my list. If anybody else is having this problem, please let me know.
