Signing new coaches

Hi everybody.

I'm trying to sign a new manager after having fired the last one for self-evident incompetence

but I do not find the appropriate tag to get it. When I search for him and I go to his profile, I can only shortilist a coach, not to offer him a contract.

How can I get it?

In the list of coaches, right click on the one you want to sign. You should have the option to offer a contract. Let me know if this helps. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I have to confirm it. The only two options I find out are 'open profile' and 'shortlist'. Is it because the season is still in progress, thus I could sign coaches during post-season only?

This is probably a stupid question, but did you look in the profile to see if he's already employed? If he's working for someone else, even in the minors, you can't offer him a contract. You COULD shortlist him, and have your Messages set to send you a message whenever someone on your shortlist becomes unemployed.

Another obvious one: you are playing as the GM of a major league team? If you're playing as the Manager of a minor-league affiliate, you can't make hiring decisions for your organization.

Problem solved, guys.

I'm playing with Trieste Alpina, an Italian Serie A1 team. I went to "search staff & shortlist" and I couldn't offer a coach the contract. Then I went to "transactions" in Serie A1 page and there with the right button I finally find the option I searched for a while. Thanks again.
