The OOTP Fanbase - Other Forums?

OOTP Fanbase and Forums
<HR style="COLOR: #cb9f5b" SIZE=1>It's probably been years since I inquired about this, but coming into the next version - and presumably some research prior to examining the game proper - I'm curious about where the fans gather and discuss this game.

This is the only real forum I've ever known. With the purported numbers of players owning the game, I'm often surprised to see threads of impact only merit 150+ replies, and then often by only 20-30 different individuals. In my estimation, this hasn't changed that much over the years.

Is this the real and most thoroughly visited/discussed forum and arena for OOTP - obviously centrally linked? Where else do people go to talk about the game at any depth? Are other sites more akin to the dabblers and venters with regard to the game, with only a few posts per month or week on the whole?

Anyone have any other sites on their routine checklists where one might glean other vantage points about the game that might be considered new or overlooked here in this one?

This is the only forum I know. But then, I haven't gone looking for other boards. I have enough trouble keeping up with this one.

In the past, I have spent more time playing the game than cruising the forums. Perhaps that is what has happened to most of the user base?

The FOF forums seems to be the de facto message forum for everything text simulations.
