That's a good call. I would hope Grady Little might think about it. The Mets really don't hit well against lefties so, who knows?

Let's Go Mets!!!
I'm going to game 2. My first Met playoff game ever (too young in '86 and too poor in '00). Should be a blast!

I'm happy with this. The Cardinals always own the Dodgers. LA has a real serious shot at the WS - I don't see the Mets being much better than them at all. A rotation of Penny/Lowe/Maddux is pretty solid for the playoffs.

Dodgers will be tough, no doubt. Pedro being done (of course unhealthy he wouldn't have helped anyway) hurts, but you can only go with the horses you've got.
Mets are the better team, but they are certainly beatable, especially for a team that's been scratching for its collective life for weeks now. GH |

This series ia a tough one for me to root for. It would be like if Hitler and Stalin had a fight. In the end we all lose.

ok met fans tell me about your team. are you confident that you got the pitching? we all know you got the hitting. wow what a lineup!
couple of concerns for the dodgers nomar hurting with a quad and oblique muscle, really was solid down the stretch. love to see this guy around next year. brad penny an allstar great first half, got bombed of late and came out after 1 inning in his last start-bad back. if he is good the dodgers got a great threesome in maddux lowe and penny. kuo- what a big game for the youngster to start in game 2 i think- then maddux in game 3 at LA. bullpen nice year but unproven, saito broxton tomko- this will be a test. might have to talk a walk if we get that far. dodgers have won 7 in a row with timely hitting. drew and nomar led with 20 hr a piece- oh the good old days when we had a 45 plus slugger, now he plays rf for the mets- then furcal with 15 dingers. but this group can score some runs. somebody tell me who this guy marlon anderson is and where he has been hiding.every game i see he goes deep with 3+ hits. ethier went into a slump and marlon took over and never looked back. i was not impress with LA getting maddux, but boy was i wrong. it has been a joy to watch him do his thing. in '04 it was a magical season. great defense and pitching and come from behind wins, this year timely hitting and a well balanced team with just a few holdovers from two years ago. best part of it isall those prospects and are still growing on the farm. gotta go with LA in 5.

I hope so. I won't be able to watch a whole lot of the games, so it will be really nice if I am able to hear Scully call the games.

dola, but I am also not in LA, so I may have to find some sort of internet feed to hear him because the ESPN radio broadcasts defanitely won't be having him.
