2006-2007 NHL Teams Pool

I thought it would be a good idea to group all NHL fans on this board in a fun activity, so here it is.

I suggest we predict year-end rankings for the NHL. Every good prediction would be worth 3 points, being one spot off would give you 2 points, two spots off 1 point, and u're totally out of it, zero points. For example, if I predict Tampa Bay to finish 6th and they do finish 6th, I'd get 3 points, if they finished 5th or 7th I'd get 2 points, and if they finished 4th or 8th I'd get 1 point.

If there are at least 5 people interested, I'd run this thing and update the rankings every Sunday. The winner would win absolutely nothing.

So, if you're interested, post here saying you're in and PM me your 2006-2007 rankings in this form:

EAST
1. X team
2. Q team
3. S team
4. R team
...
15. E team

WEST
1. F team
2. W team
...
15. P team

For those of you who do not know who plays in which conference, here are last year's final rankings. Also, it might be a good thing to know that the winners of each division are automaticaly seeded 1-2-3 regardless of whether they have more points than teams in rival divisions. For example, last year Buffalo was ranked 4th even though they had the third highest point total in the east, because they were in the same division as the Senators.

You have until opening day to sign up. I'll also release everyone's picks on opening day so you laugh at people who put the Ducks behind the Blues or something. But still, good luck!
