Joe Smith on every team
So I'm playing a league I have invested a lot of time in and suddenly today I auto-play one day and suddenly get a bunch of windows giving me HTML errors, they looked like the kind you get when you try and open a box score for a team that isn't saved. But I didn't notice anything wrong so I auto-played a couple more days and then, after trying to auto-play this one day the game crashes with the, "OOTP has encountered a problem and needs to close." message. Another couple tries yielded the same results. Finally, I tried auto-playing the day again and got this message: "San Fransisco has no pitchers on its active roster!"
So I go to SF's screen and see that every pitcher on their staff is named "Joe Smith", except he is not registered as an active player. Their lineup was filled mostly with "Joe Smith's" as well. I checked other teams and they all have the same issue. However, a couple players on each roster are real and have remained for some reason, but most players on every team are now named "Joe Smith" What happened and how can I fix this please? Thanks a lot. |

The Joe Smith error is a corrupt datebase error. It is not repairable.
I hope that you have followed the recommended backing up of the league.
