Question Please help newby -- what are Mac system requirements?

I'm new to OOTPBB and am trying to get familiar with it before I download anything. As a Mac user, can anyone tell me what the system requirements are for a Mac? Thanks for the help! I like what I see so far.

These are the requirements, according to the manual:

"Minimum PowerMac:

G4 1 Ghz
Mac OS X 10.3.9
256 MB RAM

Recommended Power Mac:

G5 2 Ghz
Mac OS X 10.4.5
512 MB RAM

Minimum Intel:

1.8 Ghz Core Duo
Mac OS X 10.4.4
256 MB RAM

Recommended Intel:

2 Ghz Core Duo
Mac OS X 10.4.5
512 MB RAM

1024 x 768 screen resolution
400 MB free hard disk space

The game supports all screen resolutions of 1024 x 768 and higher. Dual monitors are also supported. "

I would add a couple of comments, though. I would say 512 should be the minimum and 1 GB the recommended. OOTP gobbles RAM fast. Also, I don't think the 2 Ghz should matter much. OOTP does not tax both cores of my 1.83 Ghz MacBook much. However, it definitely needs both. I wouldn't try it on a Core Solo. Unfortunately, there is no Universal Binary of OOTP, so it will be slower than you'd probably ideally want on an Intel chip, but it's still definitely enjoyable, as long as your universe plans don't get grandiose.

Depending on what you want to do, you might not even need to come up to the minimums. I have a four year old eMac with: G4 .7Ghz, OS X 10.3.9 and 1 GB RAM, and the game plays just fine on it.

On the other hand, I can't sim seasons at a time, since it takes 30-40 seconds for my machine to autoplay each day. That suits my style of play perfectly, since I perform administrative tasks every game day.
