Aging Players Question
All,
What type of rating would I use to slow down the effects of players aging too quickly? I guess what I am asking is would a batter or pitcher aging rating of 0.500 mean that they will not go south talent wise as say a 3.000 rating person would? Thanks in advance.

If you're asking which slows, which accelerates: a lower number generally extends the length of the career performance.

Thank you endgame.
I was getting tired of seeing players like Bonds, Rocket, Randy Johnson, ect either in the minors or just being ourright released.

Remember that the game is seeing numbers and not names. The game could care less if Bonds or the eight year minor league free agent is on the team. The player that the numbers say should produce is who the game will play.
Also while Marcus added team doctors to the game, "personal trainers" were not. So when the rest of us start breaking down, so do the players.

My first Dola Post.
There is a thread on the second page now probably where alot of work has gone into trying to get the aging/development curve right. The important thing to remember is that your world set up will have some affect on this issue. All my work has gone into a major League and full minors set up. As of right now I am getting ready to start test sample six. The hitters are pretty much good to go with the aging at .800 and development at .900. Pitchers on the other hand are driving me nuts. The problem as I see it is the bell curve of talent. The best pitchers are Bob Gibson, Sandy Kofax, Christy Mathewson good. Year, after year, after year, through the league. But with these guys in the pool the curve is shot to heck. The rest of the pitchers are serviceable, but the gap is noticeable. Then on the other end the really bad pitchers, well lets say the minors is filled with them. IMO the pitching talent pool bell curve looks more like a ski slope than a bell curve.
