Anybody catch the game against the Packers yesterday? The Bears whomped! 26-0.

Shut out Favre for the first time ever. Even in college Favre was never shut out. Sure, he's past the peak of his career, but it's still great to beat the guy regularly now.

I'm a Packers fan (lukewarm these past few seasons, though) and Favre - as QB of the Pack - is done. In fact, I think the Packers will be the most abject team in the NFL this season. U.G.L.Y. and gonna' get uglier.

I'm not sold on the Bears until I see how they fare against a quality opponent. The Packers, I say again, are really in a bad way this season...

As a Bears fan I enjoy reading people (not on these boards - looking at ESPN) post that the Bears are overrated and only got a win because they played a weak team in the Packers, yet those same writers praise San Diego this morning for their 27-0 beating of the Raiders - who may be the only team Green Bay can beat.

I guess the Bears needed to score one more point to be legit

Hey that is a good idea. Man I wish I had thought of that. I could do for all business. If I ran a bar I can say that the food is free if the Jags win. Then I will insure the price. That way people will come and pay lots of money while they watch the game thinking that it will be free if the Jags win. No biggie for me, because it is insured. But if the team loses I get a huge boost in sales!

Unlike a shutout, there's probably a 50% chance that the Jags would win on any given Sunday (maybe higher). Therefore, your premium would most likely be 50% of the amount you're insuring. Over the course of a season, you'd break even - although your revenue may be greater.

Yeah, it's funny to me because after seeing Grossman come along like he has been, with the accurate long arm and the nice touches on other passes, I think their offense is severely underrated.

Not to mention his leadership...

Once again Rex was a complete STUD in a 34-7 win over Detroit - you know, that great defense that held Seattle to 9 points last week. Grossman went 20 of 27 for 289 yards and four touchdowns.

Alex Brown had a hilarious comment on the radio this morning. Sean Salisbury was talking about Williams' 40 points and said "Last week they only had six points" and Brown interjects with "They got closer this week!"
