Why you say, well they have just uploaded two new versions of the file that I had been working on. Names are real down to the Short Season squads. The game also includes the players that have signed with major league teams from the first three rounds of the 2006 draft. Those players are available for the 2006 draft in the game.

Ratings have been updated for all players down to Low A, sorry I didn't do the rookie and short season guys outside of Pawelek of the Cubs since he was listed in the top 10 for the Cubs.

There are two versions on the site.

Version 1 is with a game date of January 2 so that people can play through the Spring Training. This is one that I would consider for many of the online leagues that are looking for a set so that the owners can get accustomed to their teams and make any moves with the free agents that are still out there.

Version 2 is ready to go at Opening Day. I simmed it through Spring Training so that there would be no injuries to worry about when people started the game. That way you can just start playing. Waivers are still turned off on this on so that the cpu doesn't go and start waiving a ton of people.

I have gone through and cleaned up the options used issue so that the players will have more ability for movement to and from the minors.

I have tried to make the major leaguers more inline so that the minor leaguers don't outpace them to quickly and so that the new draft picks are ahead of all them too quickly.

Those who have tested it, have seen very good long term results as well as 2006 numbers. Took a little work to get the Tigers to win enough games :P.

EDIT: Oh yeah I forgot to also mention there is no issue with the manager crash here that I have seen. Also I have fixed the minor league affiliation for the Indians and corrected the affiliations for the Phillies which was off as well.

Another piece to add, I put the Indians back in the Gulf Coast League where they belong and put the schedule in for those two leagues so that they mirror real life.

One glaring item.

Running another sim, saw these news articles in quick sucession

1) Hendry fired by Cubs (18-34 at the time)
2) Soriano discussing extension with Nationals
3) Yadier Molina slugs his way to NL Player of the Week

Which one of these does not belong?

Great set! This is exactly the building block I've been looking for to start my personal roster set.

After some tweaks to player ratings, especially with prospects, I'll finally be set to start playing this game to it's fullest potential.

I have a question about the rookie draft in year 1. Is there a way to prevent the game from generating fake players? I have the draft set at only 3 rounds for just one year to get the real players draft (no fake players). I will set it back to either 5 or 10 rounds starting in year 2.
