Opponent pitching substitution bug
Just a quick bug that I have had pop up a few times and thought I would finally sign up on the forums to mention it. I've been following them for awhile but I certainly could have missed it if this was posted before.
Basically what happened is this. My team was playing another when their starter got injured in the second inning. The team only had 3 mr's and a closer all of which were tired but unused. The game however did not perform a substitution after the injury. Instead the starter accumulated over 100 pitches before a reliever came in in around the 8th or so inning. I might add that the pitcher pitched as well injured as he did uninjured which I assume is because the game simply doesn't have reduced stats for a player completely injured. Also I noted that the game rarely substitutes for an exhausted reliever if all other relievers are in the tired state. I know the first part is a bug I have seen a few times but wasn't sure if it has been or will be addressed. One question I have if anyone can answer this while I am here ( I know wrong forum). Recently I have had my top 2 starters (highly paid I might add) career end due to injuries. Is there any way to save expenses of releasing them without dropping them into the free agent pool. One had a 10 mil salery and 3 years remaining and it took all my excess cash to release him. Sorry for the length of this post...Hope to hear from ya'll Raz

Don't release the Career Ended Players... at the end of the season they will retire... and you'll be off the hook for the rest of the players salary. Just leave them on the DL the rest of this season.

If you move the "career injured" to the dL they will retire at the end of the year.

Thanks Steve and Scott, your info was a great help. Any Idea if the pitching substitution bug has been/will be addressed?
