Need a deletion work around

OK, I've got an online league with 7 independent leagues.

I want to make 6 of them inactive.

What's the workaround? I know QuestDog posted one, but I get a crash after doing that, so can anyone help me?

I thought one workaround was to not schedule any games in those leagues. Or perhaps another was to delete all the teams (if they are truly inactive and unowned) in the inactive leagues & create them once you want to activate them, but I'm sure there is a much more informed answer than mine.

Might be something to try offline while you're waiting for a more comprehensive answer.

I tried to delete leagues from the Cubby rosters and made it through 2 or 3 seasons before the game finally kept crashing and I had to give up. I'd be interested to know how you could get this to work as well.

Unfortunately, it seems some change made in the most recent patch has rendered empty leagues a thing of the past. They won't work anymore.

You can still have an empty sub-league, but not a completely empty league.

One change for the better, however, is that you can now play spring training games in leagues with empty sub-leagues. (An error message pops up when the game makes the spring schedules, but you can hold the ESC key down until it disappears an everything will be hunky-dory.)

Maybe Markus has an idea of what change caused this new behavior?

Hmmm, I just tested it and it works without any problems. I deleted all divisions, and the cleared the schedule (added a function for this to the schedule editor screen). Then I simmed several years without any problems... so 1.0.3 fixes whatever problem there was.

So it'll be possible with the new patch?

Did you do this with the Cubby rosters?

Markus, I'm still getting a crash at Opening Day in 1.0.3 with a completely empty league. An empty sub-league works fine, but not a completely empty league. Maybe this crash only happens in the initial season? I'll have to test that....
