Mid 2002 Rosters

Hey All-
The Rosters as of today are the focus of this set. I also added the round 1 ammy guys (kazmir and co). I personally like this set over my beginning rosters since i think the ratings are a tad better (i looked though all the guys again). I hope you enjoy. Don

So KoD.....I'm taking it that Steve Stanley isn't on the A's roster? I believe he was taken in the 2nd round.

That would be correct, Stanley wouldn't be on this roster set. Although the round 1 compensation picks i likely will be adding or if someone wants to add all the picks to this file, go for it. Don

If you ever do get around to adding the comp picks and by chance the 2nd rounders, that'd be sweet. If not, I guess I'll just have to wait till the Total Minors then trim down each minor league team big time.

Good job on them though. I downloaded the rosters late last night since I was bored. They look pretty good.

Does anyone have a list of say??-- 100-200 propsects? real players? That aren't in any of the patches thus far--accept the one above...so i can create the players.

Your best bet is to check out TPA's top 300 prospect list. The only downside is that doesn't include this year's draft picks.

So maybe doing the first 200 of those or so (the majority of them are already in the game) then doing the first few rounds of draft picks would be good since those are the majority of the players that make it to the majors and have a decent impact.

Nice Set!

One friendly advice - lower hitting avg ( Bunch of Players are hitting 0.390 at the end of the season)

This is the best roster set to use till Rolen's comes out)

Increase the number of hits in the league totals a bit and that should fix that.

Angry

I Know that but I was just telling this because he could do that for future downloading so everyone can just install roster set and play without touching ERA setting.

Just a lttle note

Just taking a quick little look at the rosters they look very good, however there are still changes that are to be made. The Cinc. Reds traded Hector Merchado to Phil for Reggie Taylor back in May. Just a little note for those with the roster set. If You dont mind (king of Diamonds) I would like to use this set as a base. And I will do the exact rosters of every team, including the Minors. If that will be ok with you? Also I will tweak some of the rating just a bit, based on their future or current playing status. Thanks

Unless I'm reading this completely wrong, you're planning on doing a roster patch based on this one, but with every single player that's listed for each minor league team as well? Honestly, it'd be a waste of time. Rolen and GEforce are teaming up to do a Total Minors set, which is pretty much what you have planned.

Rolens Roster set

No offense to Rolen or GeForce, but we have been waiting all season for an updated set. The Last one released by them was in April. So yes I am doing one also. I love their sets, I have used them before, but since I have a lot of free time, I thought why not. I have already four teams done with 26 more to go, should be done by early this upcoming week!!

Bohica, if you wait on GeForce or Rolen's set you'll be waiting a long time...i doubt you'll see a roster set by those guys before the players strike...IMO

If I'm not mistaken, they're both based off the default, fictional player rosters. They renamed them and tweaked ratings a bit to what they felt they should be. Bots sets are going to be similar.
