Baseball Maelstrom - Join the Legends

Baseball Maelstrom has been around since 2002 when we started with Rolen's OOTP3 roster set. Since then, we've completed 17 seasons and many of our original team Legends are close to retirement.

Now, we are in a transition as we gear up for conversion to OOTP2006. We're modifying some of our rules to adjust to the new game system and deciding which options we will be using as our league moves forward. All of this has led to some openings, from rebuilding projects to playoff contenders.

Would you make a good fit for the league? Well, you will have to make sure you have adequate time on your hands. We have two mandatory ballots every season, which doesn't take too much time. However, we also have several special live events during the season. While attendance is not required, you may find that it adds to your enjoyment.

What makes us different? We've been around for 4+ years and we don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Since we are into the 2018 season, we have a good mix of real players, fictional and historical. Each season we have two players from baseball history enter the league, one through the draft and the other chosen by the winner of the post-season Tournament (a Tourney held for non-playoff teams). Of course, we also have the Legends. They are players from baseball history that serve as leaders for their teams and can't be traded.

I was in the league back in version 5 as the owner of The Expos, and I loved it.
Unfortunately I had to leave due to circumstances beyond my control, but I'd love to come back.

To give a new twist as we head towards OOTP2006, we are holding a draft for new team Legends that will stick with the team from age 18 until retirement. We might have one opening, but they are filling up fast. We have almost notified everyone who has been awarded a team (there is another I think to go).
