No way to add minor league affiliates to new teams?

If one goes into Edit League Structure and creates a new team, it doesn't seem possible to give that new team minor league affiliates - making the whole Edit League Structure process useless.

Or am I missing something?

Is there a minor league team in your baseball universe that doesn't have an affiliation? Maybe there has to be an unaffiliate team available. And maybe you need to add teams to all of your minor leagues so that there is one available at each level.

This is all the case. I'll, for example, delete one team, then create a new one. I'll be left with one major league team with no minor league affiliates, and a bunch of minor league teams with no major league affiliates, and no way to connect them.

I just created a new game to try and help you with this. After the game was created, I selected my major league. I went into the league structure screen, then clicked the other functions tab and selected the league structure editor. I added a team to my major league.

Then I clicked and selected my AAA league from the left side menu, so it would become the active league for the purpose of editing. I then clicked the names and affiliations tab. If you have a minor league selected, then you will see the major league affiliations on the right hand side of the screen. You can click on any of those affiliations and change them using the drop-down menu.

If you've added a major league team, then you'll need to add a team in each of the minor leagues. Then you add the affiliation using the names and affiliations tab. The new minor league teams that you created will show "NONE" as their affiliation, so they'll be easy to identify. Just set their affiliations to the new major league team that you created.

I hope this helps.
