Closer stays in too long in tie games

I'm running with the latest patch. I'm a manager of a single-A team. When my team is on the road, I watch the game with the AI controlling all aspects. (It's my way to give the home team advantage).

The game is tied at the bottom of the 9th. The AI brings my closer in. He retires the side. Game continues and my closer is kept in. He winds up pitching 4 more innings. I score 2 runs in the top of the 14th. The AI keeps my closer in for the bottom half and gives up 3 runs and loses the game.

Same thing happened the next day - tie game going to the bottom of the 9th. AI brings the closer in and closer goes for another 3 innings before giving up a run to lose the game.

My bullpen was well rested and my pitching depth chart was set up with pitchers in all the different roles.

Summary: AI brings closer into the game during a tie game at the bottom of the 9th and leaves him in.

I tried a looking to see if anybody else reported this but didn't find anything.
I'm also wondering if the AI is different for a manger-owned team.
