See here. My lineup RH vs. DH:

And after clicking generate depth chart RH vs DH based on this lineup I get this:
Notice that Victor Diaz is RF in my lineup but the game puts him at DH even though I asked to have the depth chart generated from my lineup. This isn't the only time I've seen this happen.

Hmm.... that's a bit odd. Two questions: When you say you've seen it before, have you seen it with different teams? If you clear depth charts then try it again, does it still happen? If so, we have some trouble! |

![]() Basically when you tell it to generate depth charts based on this lineup all you've done is tell the computer who your starters are... not where they play. Like this post, you can tell it that guy 1 plays RF and bats 3rd, and guy 2 plays LF and bats 4th. Generate depth charts... if the computer thinks they should be switched it does, so guy 1 plays LF and guy 2 plays RF. The only good thing is that it doesn't do it arbitrarily, you can see why it's done it. In my case I had forgotten that the the 2B replacement I put in could play, and was better at, SS. But it should be taking your starting lineup and putting it in the depth chart starter positions exactly as you have it... not changing it. I may have reasons for playing them that way... or I may be an idiot, either way I should have the control. |

I've seen this phenomenon also. The AI doesn't always put the players in their best positions to maximize defense either. I agree with tysok that the starting lineup that I set should remain the starting lineup. I certainly hope that this gets fixed when Markus returns from his holiday.

I was able to reproduce it by doing the following:
#1 - I insert my backup catcher as my starting catcher in Lineups RHP w/DH #2 - I go to Action and hit auto generate depth chart and based on this lineup #3 - I then go to my depth chart vs. RHP w/DH. The catcher I replaced w/the backup catcher is still listed as the starting catcher. While this is reproducable, it does not happen every single time. It seems as if it may only happen on the first time. Logged
