OK. How many of the guys who voted for role-play will create a fighter with their own name on it? How many of you realize there is no witch, wizard or gnome in pro boxing? Sorry to break the news.

I picked role-play in the hopes that I would be able to sign and manage boxers. I would like to be able scout opponents, find a suitable opponent and sign a match, negotiate a purse, and see my fighters (hopefully) develop as they face increasingly stiffer opposition.

I won't be creating myself as a boxer, and I hope that things will be difficult to the point that getting one of my fighters ranked would be a significant achievement.

If that is what the final product looks like, you'll likely find even curmudgeons like me with no interest in it playing quite a bit.

I really have no interest in role playing,but as for the ideas about the match and purse negotiations..as Chris said..I may be one of the curmudgeons that join him in playing this a tad..lol.

Interesting. I've always assumed that the RPG aspect of the game would be precisely as Grunion described it. Is this not the case?

I always thought of it as the sort of game where you buy extra strength, hand speed et cetera for your fighter or have to learn just the 'right' training regimen to achieve the same thing. That holds no interest for me at all as it is the sort of thing that you master and get bored with. Perhaps I was wrong, if it is more along these lines I might be far more interested though not enough to prefer that over playing god and matchmaker in a universe as I do now with TBCB.

Yeah Chris,I could live with the game as is..so long as we could get more frequent updates and more of the younger fighters. I like the game for the replays..the realism etc. As long as the role play remains an option that I can turn off..I do not object it being included in the game. As for a seperate role playing game..I probably would not purchase that sort of game.

somewhat there's a bit of a problem with the name given...the name given to the kind of game some of us would like should be Manager, like Football Manager or OOTP; you don't have to control the whole universe, you interact with it while you can hope it goes on somewhat a logical path -european low ranked fighters fighting mostly against european-
