Missing pitcher
Anyone still have problems with the roster size being illegal? I had not noticed it for some time and then this afternoon I was trying to sim a number of seasons when I go the message "Tampa does not have enough pitchers on the roster". I thought this was taken care of in one of the patches. Do I need to make some adjustments to my setup? Thanks in advance for any help.

Does the silence mean that nobody knows, nobody is having this problem anymore, or everyone is having this problem?

Twelve pages of responses to the funniest computer generated names, seven pages of responses to what the ice cube to the left of the player's name means yet not a single response (other then my own). This must be a really tough question.

Have you tried increasing the number of rounds in your amateur draft? That may provide more players for the lower level leagues.

Good idea. I will try that and see what happens. My current amateur draft calls for 25 rounds. I will increase it to 50 rounds and see what happens.

![]() It's still a bug, it's still known, and hopefully gets fixed. How many levels of minors do you have? I ran a league with AAA, AA, A, and Rookie levels for 60+ years without ever seeing it, 25 draft rounds. The same setup with only 10 rounds resulted in this problem though. The stupid thing is, if you fix it by assigning 1 pitcher to that team and then sim a day... the computer makes appropriate moves and you see 8 to 10 pitchers on that team now. In my case, I assigned the only FA pitcher to that team, simmed a day, it now had 8-10 pitchers on that team, but had released the FA I assigned them. ![]() I haven't tested it, but with all the information I would create a theory that for every level of minors you have you need 6 rounds of draft to avoid this problem... but I don't know for sure. |

The "official" recommendation is 5 rounds per minor league level.

I dont know why this error happens. I get this error sometimes and the team still has a ton of players.
Sometimes i create fictional players to fill the teams, but the next day i get the same error.
