Betimit to the Dodgers

Sounds like Wilson Betimit has been traded from the Braves to the Dodgers for Danys Baez and Willy Aybar.

It has happened with Cesar moving over to 2B and Wilson Betimit at 3B.
The Dodgers GM is willing to go deep into his Farm System to do trade for a person like Tejada or Soriano.

So you have all this deep information but you don't know the Dodgers GM's name?

unless izzy is traded, i can confirm the same. kent is currently injured, and when he does come back, izzy and martinez are the two utility infielders (and trust me, thats what little and colletti want. they let go of hee seop choi for free because they wanted to keep both martinez and oscar robles for those positions at years beginning)

Umm

Why in the hell are the Braves making moves when there is no guarantee of them even making the playoffs, yet in years that they have the division wrapped up by Aug 1st no deals are made for a deep playoff run????

The NL Wild Card race is extremely close. 10 teams are seperated by 6.5 games, and the Braves are 6.5 behind Cincy. It is certainly feasible, especially with the way the Braves have been playing, for the Braves to make the playoffs. Certainly, the division win is pretty much out of the question, but the wild card is within reach.

This was a good trade for the Braves... Aybar is essentially equal in talent to Betemit, and two years younger, plus they get Baez who is an upgrade to their 'pen.
