Error when viewing Boxscores

I started a new league, ML model with most of the minors.

Started as unemployed, not in Commissioner mode.

If I set my game to view boxscores for all leagues, I can view them no problem.

When I set them to view just human leagues, I get this error message when I try to view them.

Not sure if it's because I'm unemployed, but that shouldn't prevent you from viewing boxscores.

Doesn't sound like a bug to me, to be honest. There's no human manager in your MAL, you're saving box scores only for leagues that do have a human manager, hence you can't view MAL box scores. You can't be unemployed but still "assigned" to a league in some way...how is the game supposed to figure out which league you'd like to be assigned to?

Maybe there should be a new position created: "League Observer." This would otherwise be known as "Newspaper Reporter." Who knows, wouldn't it be nice if Markus created an observer position for each league, so that you could be assigned to a league without controlling anything?

I have no idea how hard this one would be to code. That's up to Markus. But, if enough people wanted it, it may end up in a patch or in the next version, depending on the simplicity of it.

Hi Bruce,

Sorry for the late jump in here.

Unfortunately, I tend to agree with Zeyes in that the game appears to be behaving as expected in this case. However, the error message is very unfriendly. I have opened a TT, #2469, to at least look at the possibility of having it give a little more intuitive message.
