Kearns, Lopez traded to Nats

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2518314

Looks like Soriano's days are numbered.

Wow, what is that. Kearns, Lopez and Wagner are talented underachievers and you might be sick of waiting for them to live up to their abilities but you can't just basically give them away. Majewski is a nice reliever but he is not a dominant bullpen guy, a couple ok spects. Ugly trade

Yikes. I would've thought they could have gotten way more for Kearns & Lopez. Lots of teams looking for bats.

Yikes.

They should trade Sori to the Chicago. The White Sox could do with a major league quality player in left field.

Angels | Team recently scouted Soriano

Jim Molony, of MLB.com, reports the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have recently scouted Washington Nationals OF Alfonso Soriano.
Those are some of the team's mentioned to be looking at Soriano. Another interesting one is:

Cardinals | Team recently scouted Vidro
Thu, 13 Jul 2006 13:28:05 -0700

Jim Molony, of MLB.com, reports the St. Louis Cardinals recently scouted Washington Nationals 2B Jose Vidro.
I guess they could trade Vidro and shift Soriano back to second, but I fail to see Soriano's value ever getting higher.

I'm not too familiar with the Nats farm system, but I feel that team needs SP prospects. Livan appears to be on the way out. Armas doesn't last deep into games and is an injury risk. Patterson has potential, but I believe he has a history of arm problems as well. Aside from Brandon McCarthy, what could the White Sox offer?

Good trade for the Reds! I am sure the veteran clubhouse leadship of Royce Clayton will pay dividends!

Nice to see Jim Bowden still screwing the Reds after they fired him 3 years ago.

Guzman could be the next SS from the Nats to be traded.
Freel is probley the RF know for the Reds.
How about Soriano/Hernandez or Armas Jr/Vidro or Guillen to the Cardinals for John Gall,Luna,Travis Hanson,Schumaker,Hawksworth,Kinney,Flores and others?
Soriano can play LF if Vidro on the team but if Vidro not Soriano at 2B and Guillen or Juan E. in LF and the other in RF.

That's awful. I would say they're throwing in the towel, but this trade doesn't help their past, present or future. Simple stupidity, I suppose.

after it took me forever to figure out what you were talking about, I truly hope you aren't thinking those are good trade options for the Cards
Luna is quickly becoming a very valuable player for the Cards. Hanson is one of the few legit power threats in the system, Hawksworth is one of our best SP prospects and Flores is key to an already weak bullpen

The deals made for Arroyo and Hatteberg were both bad ideas that worked out well, IMO, so I think this is further evidence that Wayne Krivsky was really more lucky than good. I mean, how do you lose a trade with Jim Bowden? Did he offer to throw in Ryan Zimmerman and Krivsky turned him down?

He's out for the year. Nobody's going to take him. He's crap anyway.

Who's Juan E?? There's no Juan E on the Nationals.
