Unfortunately it can't be done in 2006. It is a much asked for feature though, so hopefully it will make it into the game eventually.

I gave up watching it when every single Yankee team won the first round...And don't tell me it was because every one of those teams were the best against the teams that they were playing....

ESPN World Series Greatest Teams
I watched a little of it. It would be a great feature if you could import teams from different years and play out a season and determine who the best of the best is (was). Who knows if the feature was added, the Sim might even make it to National TV and be aired on ESPN. Hey, Marcus, think of the free advertising and National exposurer having ESPN televising a simulation season between all the past world series winner teamswould do for OOTP (Could add considerably to the bottom line (SEGA would love that)!

The only way to do it is when you create a league you would have to import historical leagues like lots of them then export the team you want and import them to your MLB league then delete the historical leagues or create the Teams yourself or the easy it way is to Export the team from 6.5 and import them into your league or create the league in 6.5 and import the league into the game.
I watch most of it and some teams were missing from it like the 2004 Red Soxs,2005,White Soxs,Maybe 1997 and 2003 Marlins/2000 Diamondbacks,1988 Dodgers and A's,1985 MO series teams,69 Mets and so on.

I wouldn't trust anything the Booyahs say. They can't even tell the truth about the present, so why should we listen to what they have to say about the past?!
My favorite moment from them though was a couple years ago they had a "future of sports" special that was pretty interesting and grounded, but then ended with five minutes of horrifying dystopian cyberpunk-esque predictions, complete with a deep creepy narrator voice. Hilarious! |
