Importing Lahman Database
Hello,
I have been trying to setup a historical league using the latest Lahman database. It load fine and I don't change any other options, but when I sim 20 years for example it uses very few of the historical players. For instance i started a league at 1970 and it wouldn't import half the players for the Phillies( namely Mike Schmidt ) What can I be doing wrong, or what is the key to importing then simming the Lahman DB?

Did you make sure you have import real rookies checked and the proper path to the lahman database set when you created your league? It should default to being set automatically when you imported the initial season of your league but perhaps you unchecked it. Since Schmidt would debut in 1972 it sounds like your rookies are not importing.
Are you getting any real rookies in your league at all or is it just the players you first imported in 1970 that are real?

I am getting some of the Rookies to import in properly. Other times they don't come in at all. I simmed a league starting in 1980 and the phillies had no Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose, Or Steve Carlton.
btw I did have importing rookies on. Very confused what I may have changed. I will uninstalled OOTP2006 entirely and reinstall and try again. I must have changed some option or something...

I didn't think to search for them. I'll do that now. Thanks

They may have been traded by the AI. Or got CEI's. Or never made The Show.
