Game freezes when trying to delete saved game.

I haven't had this game that long and I never tried to delete a saved game before the most reason patch, so I don't know if this is an old problem or new. I tried to delete a saved game called "MLB" that I wasn't gonna play anymore. The first time, it got to 100% deleted but then froze with the meter at 100% and I had to ctrl-alt-delete out. I had mirc and a music program running in the backround (I've had no problems playing OOTP with applications running in the background), so I closed them and reopened OOTP and tried to delete the game again, this time however the game froze as soon as I clicked yes on the "are you sure you want to delete" dialogue box, so I ctrl-alt-deleted out again. At this point I just manually deleted the folder myself, which worked fine. Not sure if this has been reported before, but it just happened to me. If you need my computer specs or anything just reply and I'll help as best I can.

td, it takes a long time to delete a league from within the game. You can safely delete the game within Windows Explorer or My Computer, by deleting the entire directory with the .lg extension in your saved_games directory, like this:

C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2006\data\saved_games\New Game 12.lg

I'm guessing that your game wasn't actually frozen, it was just thinking.

I would suggest you delete this partially deleted game through My Computer. In the future, you could continue doing that, or if you delete from within the game, let it sit. It can take quite a while.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, thats what I ended up doing.

"At this point I just manually deleted the folder myself, which worked fine."

Thanks for the help, I didn't realize there was a problem with deleting saves through the game.
