Tony Larussa 3

I used to be a huge Larussa baseball fan and i was wondering if anyone knew a way to import rosters with updated stats from 2005 onto the old game? My brother and I were talking and saying how sweet it would be if OOTP could use graphics like in Larussa with the new game, that would be my dream game. Thanks for any help i can get

I'm a big fan of Tony 4 and would love to have that same opportunity but it just isn't going to happen unless you do it yourself. Sooooo few still have Tony 3 (or 4 in my case) that they're not going to spend any time to do that. There was a website, run by Nick something or other, that had updated rosters for a fee but that is no longer in existence unfortunately.

If you hear otherwise, let me know!

dang that sucks. that would be sweet if someone did it for a fee. I would pay to have it done definitely. So you played 4? is it better than 3 just curious cause i stopped playing larussa after 3. anybody out there with the game i would be willing to pay to have the rosters done.

I never played 3, only 4. It was a great game. As far as I was concerned, it was the best PC baseball game until OOTP.

I'll make you your roster of choice for a small one time fee of $250.

A fellow named Nick Keren had a whole stable full of Ultimate Utilities for Tony Larussa Baseball and for the "Oldtime Baseball" game. Hunt him down and maybe you can get some help.

Nick Kerren was his name. His univrses kept LaRussa going well passed its prime. Its sad that this game is no longer produced. It is also sad that his site has been shut down. He had some many good ideas, and so many projects he was working on. Baseball games have reallly taken a big hit the last several years. Every year there are fewer and fewr titles, and quality has gone down greatly. What does Major League Baseball do? At the hight of the decline of baseball game marketing, they come up with the dumbest lisencing rule ever! They give one company exclusive rights, and you don't even get a pc game anymore. Its sad that there are only two games left. OOTP, and BBM. BBM is unplayable. There are so many basic things left out of the game. OOTP isn't far behind.

Why did his website get shut down? Was law enforcement involved in the shut down?

It was shut down on his own, no law enforcement or anything. As you can imagine, the market for people willing to pay him to do the work involved in creating and maintaining roster sets and such for a game several years old that has a small, albeit devoted, following.

I wonder if any of our OOTP mod experts could find a way of reinventing some of Keren's utilities ... if so, I'd gladly put together an updated roster set.

Did you know that the guy behind BBM was a programmer on Tony 3?

Has anyone run Tony 4 on DOSBox before? I have had no luck trying to do so. I tried to run it on my laptop, which has XP and no luck.

Any ideas?
