Talking MLB2006V3.1 Released!

New in V3.1:

-Updated Stadium info for all Korean League teams and some miscellaneous minor league / indy league teams

-Added T-Wil1’s new stadium packs for indy / foreign league teams

-All teams now have the correct color schemes based on their team colors (thanks to Khan and Colorzilla)

-All minor league teams (except Rookie league teams) have their updated park factors included(except for triples, which I could not find info on).

-Updated a few logos

-Now using RMY’s Injuries.txt file which is outstanding. Due to personal preference, I have NO career ending injuries set---I do however have max injury lengths to some serious injuries set as high as 18 months. In real life, noone gets injured and then automatically says the next day, my career is over. They go thru rehab and try their best to come back. Usually if they end up retiring from injury it is because they came back and played, but never was able to get up to their ability prior to the injury. From what I have read, OOTP players can suffer big hits to their abilities if they are out for extended periods of time, which would seem to simulate this well. If you would rather play with career ending injuries happening the minute the player gets injured, I have included the original RMY injuries.dat file and u can just copy over it.

New in Player Images file:

-Fixed player images 1-100 to make sure they now display correctly in game. Not included in the league, but in the players.zip file.

Pardon me for asking but I am unfamiliar with RAR files. How do I get these in the game?

Get zipgenius. It's free and can unzip virtually any type of zipped file.

You can download WinRAR(www.rarlab.com)
and there is a readme file included in it that explains everything

I don't think this is possible at this time without having to manually delete each player in game.

So you'd better get started.

I'll need to check, but....

Somewhere in one of those options buttons along the lower right hand corner on some screen I saw an option for deleting all players. I know...kinda vague...but I'm pretty sure there's an option for that somewhere. I'll try to find it again when I get home tonight.

I hope you find it, cos many of us would like it!

Unfortunately, don't believe it exists. There is a "release all players/clear rosters" option ,but then you'll just have alot of free agents..... which you can only delete one at a time...

Cool

Well, you could always try the old method I used to use for getting rid of the fictious players in vv. 6-6.5, which was to release all players, then create a new league (won't have players at first until draft), copy the player.dat file from that blank league into the target league, and viola - no players! The when you import players, just do the same swap - go into the MLB06 or whatever league roster, release all players, then copy the players.dat file that has those players into whatever directory you want. Hope that this process still works with this version - from what I have seen of the directory structure it looks as though it should.

You can overwrite the readme I included with that if you want, I included one that has 0 CEI's, and I explained why in the readme(i am not going to explain all hat again). But if you want to play with CEI's enabled, you can use this file as that is the original RMY injury.txt file in a .dat form...

Matter,
someone would have to remake the file as a template as you cannot make an existing file into a template

That really sucks...

Maybe I will do this at a later date, but I am working on my schedule generator and don't have time to work on this....

If anyone wants to duplicate the league and make it as a template, feel free to take credit for the template making part of it...

Can I just say that this is really good-this is exactly what I and many people have been looking for for ages-I don't understand why it has had so little publicity.

Again-thanks v much
