Magic # bug, 4.1
Bug report:
When I use the in-game schedule generator, the game correctly calculates the magic number. Hooray! However, when I make a *custom* schedule with a different number of games played in the season, the game continues to calculate the magic number using the number of games from the last time I ran the schedule generator. It also keeps using the wrong number to calculate "per game" figures on the Front Office screen. Basically, I guess the variable for "Games played in a season" is only changed when the schedule generator is run, and not when a custom schedule is entered. (I can work around this by using the generator to create a schedule with the number of games I want in my season, then clearing the schedule and entering my own afterwards.) I am using the 4.1 patch. Thought you'd like to know. Thanks for all the hard work -- OOTP is great! |

You have to use the in game schedule editor to reset the number of games for the league, then you can enter you custom schedule to fix this error.
This is a known issue.. It has been like this at least since OOTP3, it might be nice to have a better way to set the number of games for the league, rather than requiring the generation of a schedule in game, then deletion of that schedule followed by input of a new one. Edit - doh... I should have read your post in more detail. |
