The WHBL Needs A Few

We've got a few openings in the league that we need to fill. We're finishing out the post-season right now, so if you want in, now is a very good time to be able to better shape your team during the offseason and pre-season.

Our homepage is here: http://www.whbl.org/

The html leaguesite page is here: http://www.whbl.org/leaguesite/

We're a fantasy player league with 8 seasons under our belt and a great core group of owners, most of which have been with us for quite some time. We use Talent Ratings only, Catobase, some spiffy website software that lets you share stories, and some other fun stuff to make things as deep and interactive as possible.

We sim on a M-W-Sat schedule, using a 7-8-7-8-7-8 game rotation.

We have a very lively forum and some fantastic storytellers in the Team Reports forum.

The backstory of the league is below, and makes for an interesting jumpstart for anyone looking to get in:

http://www.whbl.org/backstory.html

The rules are below:

http://www.whbl.org/rules.html

We're currently running the league in 6.12/6.5, and are beginning discussions about converting to OOTP2006 after the next season.

The currently open teams are:

Rio de Janeiro Panthers

If you like what you see, but want to change your logo, you're free to do so. There are a ton of fantastic logo designers here on the OOTP boards, or you can design your own.

If you're interested, either shoot me a PM, or head on over to the forums, register, and claim your team in the General Discussion forum.

We'd love to have you if you're willing to put in the time and have a little fun.

Thanks, guys.

We're hitting Day 21 (the first human controlled day) of FA tonight. So if you want in, now is a very opportune time.

Jacksonville has been taken, but we have a couple new teams open.

Bogota has been through a ton of owners and needs some good lovin'. With less than 25mil in payroll and already 35mil in broadcasting revenue, this could be a good team to grab for a turnaround junkie.

Mexico City has also been through a handful of owners and their payroll is even less than Bogota. They have the first pick in the ammy draft which is due to start in a couple days.

Mexico City has now been claimed.

We have openings in Bogota, Buenos Aires, San Juan, and Sao Paulo still.

First post reflects these changes.

C'mon aboard guys, if you're interested, we're still relatively early into the FA period, and the Ammy Draft starts tomorrow.

after a resignation today....

make that Buenos Aires, San Juan, and Vancouver, B.C.

Buenos Aires is a former great, but needs some love after a couple down years.

San Juan has one of the best all-time records, but needs some love after a lack of managment for a season.

BC has some very good spects on the verge of stardom and also some great youngsters already in the bigs.

San Juan has been scooped up. Buenos Aires is our last available team. Spring Training exports aren't due till Wednesday night, so if you want to get in some pre-season wheeling and dealing, you still have time.

Enuttage--

I'd like to take Buenos Aires. My AIM is RAsrar. I was an orginal GM in WHBL, with Mexico City. Time constraints made me inactive in the WHBL, but I have time now. So if Buenos Aires is still avalible, I'll take them.

Best way to reach me is via AIM... RAsrar is the screen name.

Hey, if you're interested just create a screen name and post in the general discussions that you're going to be taking over the Buenos Aires team. That's how we've been doing it lately. Good to see you aboard again.

It's possible the e-mail went to your bulk box.

I've approved you over there now and you should be good to go.

Welcome back!

Looks like we are now full again. Thanks for all the interest!

Santo Domingo has opened up...a very talented minor system and young pitching, would definitely be a fun team to pick up to help reshape the franchise.

Just a bump for a new offseason. We're again in the playoffs, and Santo Domingo is again in need of a good GM. Their minor league system is a very, very good one. The team just needs a little dedicated guidance.

Also available are the CJ Chupas, who also have a pretty good minors system behind them.

There is a slight possibility that a couple of other teams may open up, but it looks like for now these may be the only two.

Now is a great time to get in so you can have full control in the offseason.

Hope to see you over there...

Ciudad Juarez is claimed.

We do have an opening in Rio, though (see first post for links).

FA starts Saturday, so get in while you still have the full offseason to better scuplt your team.
