Injured..Stop Simulation?

.... Often times, a player will get injured during the simulation of a week, month or season. If the team is controlled by a human manager, OOTP will say something like "Joe Blow, Pitcher, has been injured for 1-2 weeks. Stop simulation?" When it prints this, I'm unclear what exactly happens if I *don't* stop simulation. Does he continue to play? Does the computer fill in the best alternative? Or does the team (somehow) play without that position? ..... What would be a more useful feature would be for the computer to print out a message like this: "Joe Blow, Pitcher, has been injured for 1-2 weeks. Substituting Harvey Smart. Stop simulation?" That way, I know exactly what the computer AI is doing, and who they are replacing my injured player with.

If you continue to play without stopping. You are playing with one less player on your roster 24 instead of 25 (unless he is day-to-day) and the computer decides who to fill in with at the injured position, which I assume would be the next guy on the depth chart.

Right. The computer just decides what to do, as if the team was on AI control.

one thing though, say your power guy who hits cleanup in the line-up gets injured and you don't stop, simply letting the CPU use the next guy on the depth chart, the AI will not (to my knowledge) re-order the batting order. So even if his backup is not a power guy he will still be placed in the clean-up spot.

Best thing is to stop and put in the player you want and re-order the lineup yourself. Although I admit, when a player is injured for just a week I tend to just skip the message and play though
