Historical league with fictional league
Hey guys,
If you can't tell from the title I'm trying to get a historical league (starting 1948) set up with a fictional league, but I have some questions. Anyone know how to set up financials decently? I already tried a fictional league without tampering with any of the financials (cash max of $10mil) and the teams would end up with $125mil to spend at the end of the season. That seems like a bit much, or is that normal with the big contracts in the game? Also, by the time expansion rolls around will I have to do that myself, or will the game do it? Thanks |

You'll have to do expansion yourself. I've been building up a history in the 1880s (I'm now up to 1890 and think I'll start to play GM around 1893) and I've gone from assigning minor leaguers (every team has a single AAA affiliate, which is not realistic but I like the effect it has on the league) who look like they should be playing somewhere to just assigning an affiliate to a new club and letting the computer GM piece together its own lineups. It's working out pretty well so far.
