My Revised MLB 2000 + fictional league quickstart

This is a revision of my previous quickstart.

It includes MLB starting in the year 2000 imported from Arod23/Garlon's DB.
Includes full minors for MLB right down to rookie leagues with accurate schedules.

The Montreal Expos are still in this league, but I put their minor teams as the Nationals are today.

Stadiums and factors for MLB parks adjusted using halos17's ballpark data.

Complete minor league parks as accurate as I could make them (probably about 75-80 % accurate) as minor league park information is poor. Minor park factors are as game gave them.

Also includes 2 fictional leagues, a 16 team Canadian League (CBL) and 28 team Rival League (UBL) in the US.

All fictional teams are based off logos designed by community members (see logo credits contained in package), including Truthserum, Illeracula, Cooleyvol, Silvam14, Reds1, Knuckler and others.

Stadiums are default pics, but if there's demand I'll do a pic version.

Made an error creating the universe that resulted in the UBL not drafting properly, but it's fixed . See below.

Ok, I managed to get around the problem, but the Rival UBL league inaugural draft is done. The only other way to fix it otherwise is starting over.

Also put a few players back on there correct teams in MLB.

The AA teams in the minors of the UBL are overstocked due to the problem that came up, but the AI will weed them down before the season.

The Canadian league (CBL) is still set for an inaugural draft.

Since I am currently managing the Kinston Indians, I have no need to worry about the logo of the team you mentioned.

Nice job on the quickstart, though why the low MLB equivalencies for MLB compared to the other leagues in your universe?

As I understand it, equivalencies are used only when you create the game the 1st time, after that it's player creation modifiers.

So at the start I didn't want the fictional minors of MLB to have that too many good Minor leaguers though some still are good enough to get on MLB rosters.

I set the UBL & CBL to just below MLB level at the start, though in retrospect, probably should have made CBL even lower.

Oh well, I still like it and like the interaction between the leagues in FA.

Ok, I've sent a revised file to OOTP Mods Squad for hosting.

If you downloaded the file currently linked above, you may wish to make these revisions yourself instead of starting over. Most are just minor cosmetic stuff. I'll post the link when it's up.

Fixes:
1. Lexington Blackhawks logo of JBC now named correctly
2. International league All-Star game turned on.... duh.

(Edit: doesn't matter, it won't work anyway with a 3 divsion league only)
3. South Atlantic League championship is 5 games not 7.
4. JBC playoff rounds were not named properly, I go with Division Series, League Championship Series and Junior Cup.
5. "Championship" spelled incorrectly a couple times in playoff setups.
6. The MLB was 1st imported from Arod/Garlon's v11 database which turned out to have some errors that caused Player names to be truncated a letter or two.
This is fixed in v12 of the database.

Players that may need fixing are: Byung-Hyun Kim, Christian Guzman, Fernando Seguignol, Francisco Cordova, Giovanni Carrara, Glenallen Hill, Guillermo Mota, Hipolito Pichardo, Jason Christianson, Jermaine Dye, Jonathan Johnson, Kazuhiro Sasaki, Mark Grudzielanek, Santiago Perez, Shigetoshi Hasegawa, Sterling Hitchcock, Terrence Long, Todd Hollandsworth, Trenidad Hubbard, Valerio de los Santos and Vladimir Guerrero.

These are the ones I needed to fix anyway.

Maybe I'm not looking hard enough but I can't find Roy Oswalt or Brad Lidge in the Astros' farm system.

Remember, the MLB part of this starts in 2000 and is imported from Arod/Garlon's database and therefore players will not show up until their debut year.

In this case 2001 for Oswalt and 2003 for Lidge.

Why are their Fictional Players and Pitchers in the Minors and not the real ones because theirs thebaseballcube.com and somebody has made a Minor League CVS all the way up intill 2006 that would help you or somebody put the real Minor Leaguers in their? Other wise the Quickstart looks good>

This quickstart started out only using ArodGarlon's database and also starts in the year 2000. I don't know much of that other database but I don't believe you can use a separate major and minor database for one league/universe.

Unfortunately to get a full minors system with real major leaguers you'll have to suffer with fictional minor leaguers, unless you want to edit all the minors every year.

The other "Major" leagues in this quickstart are also totally fictional and you'll get players moving in and out of all of them anyway during free agency.

Basically, this quickstart is for those who want real players but don't mind the added fictional part of the universe.

One note I forgot to add, when you get to 2005 you should change Montreal to Washington and Anaheim to Los Angeles with WAS and LAA being the abbreviations.

If you don't their rookies in 2005 will be put into free agency.

After that year you'll have to go with a fictional draft.
