BUG - Foreign free agents not available

I have a universe with several foreign leagues and the MLB-like league in the US. I have found decent free agents through scouting other leagues but they do not appear in the free agent list nor am I able to offer them contracts through the player pages. Their contract status declares them as free agents, but they are doomed to be free agents forever.

The league setup allows free agents to leave the league as well as allows signs and trades from other leagues (except cuba).

This is after the patch.

It seems that the AI can sign them, I have seen player history that indicates signings between leagues. I just don't seem to be able to do it myself.

Do we still need to look for TT#s to know that a problem is addressed?

This is repeatable on new leagues created after the patch.

Are you acting in commissioner mode, or are you just managing a team?

I am the manager of a MLB team in the US. the free agents are listed in the scouting reports from my guys after I sent them to scout the leagues. I am testing today to see if after the free agency filing date passes, these guys become available. In my mind, this should have nothing to do with it, as the players are already described as free agents in their player profiles.

I'm sorry for the awfully slow response to this thread.

Obviously, some time has passed since you posted this issue, and the 1.0.2 patch has since been released as well. Are you still seeing this issue?

I believe that it only happens when the scouts report prior to the amateur draft. the guys that are unavailable are part of that league's draft.

I don't see it as an issue any longer.

So, are you saying that if you send a scout to scout a country in another league, and he happens to be there at some point after that country's ammy draft pool has been created, he comes back with players from the ammy pool?

If he comes back before the draft, the prospect list will have a few soon-to-be-drafted guys who are unsignable. I haven't seen him come back after the draft but I would assume that the list would be similar but now the players will have teams.

Maybe it is considered a bug for him to report on prospects that haven't entered the league.
