Lack of scroll wheel support (Mac)

I seem to remember reading in the runup to release that scroll wheel mice would be supported by OOTP 2006. The current version does not appear to recognize scrolling within the internal reports.

Particulars: Mac version (patched), OS 10.3.9. Logitech two-button USB mouse with scroll wheel.

I had a problem on my PC where the wheel wasn't being recognized. I went to the Explore World screen in the Manager Menu, and scrolled that screen, and after that it worked.

I found that I have to click on the screen first to enable it to scroll. Screens that have one big scrolling field, like Explore World, are the easiest to try this on.

I hope this helps!

I don't know if it's one in the same or seperate, but I'd like to see the two finger scrolling on the laptop touchpad (Macs only) recognized as well.

Bug: No Scrolling in the Mac Version

I can't get lists to scroll when using my trackpad with the Mac 1.02 version

So sorry for the hideously slow response to this thread. I'm trying to keep up with the post 1.0.2 stuff while pecking away at these older threads as well.

Not having a Mac with which to test, can anyone tell whether Twelvefield's suggestion helped at all? Is there still an open issue here?

(I don't even know what "two-finger scrolling" is, but I'm tempted to give you a warning... )

It did not work for me. FYI, I am using a Kensington Pocketmouse SE with a 1.83 Ghz MacBook and Mac OS X 10.4.7 and the latest Mac Kensington MouseWorks driver, 3.0.

I haven't been able to get the scroll wheel to work on any OOTP screen I've tried so far.

It's a relatively new (optional) OS X feature where the newer laptops can scroll using two fingers on the trackpad at the same time.

Had a feeling I'd hear from you, Oak Dragon.

I logged this as TT # 2153.

Thanks,

Steve
