Can't start the game

I downloaded the OOTP 6.10 demo, installed it, but when i try to start the game it says Application Error: The Application failed to initialize properly (0xc000005).

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with elicense. Is elicense control also supposed to install during the game installation? I dont see any elicense folder in the control panel

If it's the demo then it has nothing to do w/ elicense. Try uninstalling, reboot, defrag, reboot, reinstall. And make sure your drivers and directX are up to date.

Hmm, I tried that and still getting the same error message. I have directx 9.0c. Actually I tried downloading the 2006 demo too and get the same problem. OOTP 5 free version works fine however. I also can run SI's Football Manager 2006 without problem too. So, the only games I cant start on my system are OOTP 6 and 2006. Weird....Thanks if you can give me any other suggestions...I would like to buy either OOTP 6 or 2006, but cant even get to the point where the initial screen will open.
My computer is XP, Pentium D, Nvidia Geforce, 2 GB RAM
