Nursing home escapee

My scout uncovered an 85-year-old "talent" in Cuba.
If it matters in tracking down the bug, it was the scout's first day in Cuba.

TT#1826.

Markus has been advised to tone down the Cuban health care system.

What a great bug.

Please reply with the fact that this is indeed a patched copy of OOTP 2006.

Am I doing this wrong, or is it a bug? (Nation scouting)

I have sent my scout to Venezuela and Nicaragua on two separate occasions. Months pass before he finally finds someone who "catches his eye": a 49 year old nicaraguan who, judging by his ratings, may never have even played the game of baseball. Quirky recommendation by my scout, for sure, but is it a bug? Additionally, after clicking the Action tab, I see that I'm not given the option of signing him - I can unshortlist him and click to view his profile, but that's it.

Oddly enough, the same scout eventually sent me reports on two more "diamonds in the rough." They were 48 and 39 years old. And neither was much of anything talent-wise (we're talking 1s and 2s across the board). And, I was not offered the option to sign either. Not that I would, but that's mssub

So are either of these problems (very bad "prospects"; unsignable prospects) bugs, or am I missing a reason for them occuring? Part of it I could chock up to this scout being the worst (though still respectably competent) scout on my staff, but the fact that the issue has occured in all three cases of nation scouting leads me to think it's something else.

This is a reported bug. Just remember to better audit your scouts expense reports, as they are trying to get their rum and Cuervo charged to the club.

I wonder... could the high personality ratings be skewing the scout's opinion... i.e., low numbers and high numbers averaging out to "pretty good"?

I want this guy on my season ticket sale staff.

A leader, very loyal, greedy as a son of a gun, not that bright, and is a hard enough worker to get the job done.

I'd make millions of off him.

No wonder he's highly touted! LOL!

This is actually TT # 1828, and not 1826, as was formally indicated.

This is still being researched.

Thanks!

Merged a few related threads. This is still TT #1826, and is still being researched. For now, I would recommend that if you find an old player like this, go into Commissioner mode and change his age to something more reasonable.

Thanks,

Steve
