Crash to Destop when applying for job

Post patch on a game created post patch (PC)

Fictional league created after the patch.
Simmed the first year. Simmed week by week in year two until a job became available with a short season A team. Clicked on Apply. A window opens but nothing happens for two minutes, then closes to desktop.

Reloaded last save. Progressed to same point and applied at a different team. Worked this time.

Further update:

After one season in short season A, I apply for a AA job. Crash. Try again..Crash. Try another team in AA, it works.

This one may be a bit involved and require some files to be zipped and transferred, which may take some time. I do not have specifics on that. It was flagged as a high priority.
