Very Hard to Stop Autoplay during off season

It seems to me that if you don't hit the "stop auto play" button while something is actually "going on" it doesn't register. I the month of January, when almost nothing is happening, it becomes almost impossible to stop the simulation.

I'm running on a Mac, and don't know if this is the same on the PC version.

It's the same for me on PC. If there is just a second worth of games being played that day, the 'stop auto play' button is only available for that second. Makes it really tough to stop it at certain points, however that being said, I haven't installed the patch yet. I assume because you're still having the same issue, it hasn't been resolved.

This happens to me at any point in the season. I, now, just keep clicking it until the sim stops.

I have the patch.

Fortunately (?) for me, my sim is slow enough that during games there is plenty of time to stop it, or, if not plenty, some, anyway.

Bump. This isn't a big deal, and I'm not sure it's even a bug, but it sure is crazy annoying. Any thoughts?

I get a bit of a problem when I have the sim display off so it runs faster... I'll hit escape between 1-10 times depending on frustration, ootp goes non responsive and then starts working again, having finished when I told the game to stop auto play.... that one kinda sucks.

This would be another spot for a keyboard hotkey.

It looks like when there is a longer sim day that the button to stop the autosim will "light up" when you mouse over it. On the really fast days I don't think I am able to see it "light up" even with the mouse sitting on the button.

Hopefully the keyboard would bypass the slow gui interface and let the game know you want to stop. I can click the button over and over again and still end up a month or more past where I wanted to stop.

Pretty sure that there is a TT on the sensitivity, or lack thereof, of this button.

I'm pretty sure there is, too. This problem was in other OOTPB's as well. I just hold the button down until the game stops.

There is a TT # on this, but to date the developers have been unable to resolve this issue. The TT # is 607.
