Run & Hit not working properly?

The game guide says that if you call a Run & Hit, the batter has the option to swing.

In practice, it seems that the batter swings every time. This makes Run & Hit no different then Hit & Run.

Has anyone ever seen their batter take a pitch?

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: Yes, but only when using hit and run. Run and hit is the equiovalent of telling a batter: "the dude on first is gonna run, you'd better hit it no matter where it is."

On a Run & Hit, game guide says "The runners will leave before the ball is hit, and the batter has the option of trying to make contact."

I still have not found this to be true in about 20 tries.

I apologize for the long delay in responding to this thread.

I have logged this as TT #2030, just to look at that frequency. I believe the description in the guide was correct. We'll have Markus take a look at it.
